The Gaming Floor
Our venue on West Quay Road sits right in the centre of Southampton’s leisure area, and the gaming floor follows the same idea. It is set up for people who actually want to sit down and play, not only wander through and watch. You will find roulette and blackjack running both as live tables and on electronic terminals, so you can choose what feels more comfortable that day. Poker has its own dedicated tables with a regular tournament schedule. Slot machines are spread across the floor at different stake levels, from lower limits upwards.
| Game Type | Format Available |
|---|---|
| Roulette | Live tables and electronic terminals |
| Blackjack | Live tables and electronic terminals |
| Poker | Dedicated tables with tournament schedule |
| Slots | Multiple machines across the floor |
Electronic terminals and live tables operate side by side. You do not have to decide between a quieter solo session and a more social table - both styles happen at the same time in the same space. Regular visitors tend to notice and value that flexibility quite a lot, sometimes more than new guests expect on a first visit.
Getting In - What to Expect on Your First Visit
UK casino rules mean every new guest has to register before heading onto the gaming floor. It is a legal requirement, but it is straightforward in practice and only takes a few minutes at reception.
A typical first visit looks roughly like this:
- Arrive at West Quay Road, Southampton SO15 1RE and go to the membership desk near the entrance.
- Show a valid government-issued photo ID. A driver’s licence or passport is usually what people bring.
- Confirm you are 18 or over - this is required under UK gambling regulations, we cannot make exceptions.
- Complete the registration form with your basic personal details.
- Wait a short moment while the team confirms your membership.
- Once registered, the same membership works in every Grosvenor Casinos venue in the UK.
- Entry to the casino itself is free, there is no admission charge.
If you travel a lot around the country, it is worth knowing that you only do this sign-up once. When you register with us in Southampton, your membership card will be recognised at other Grosvenor venues as well, so there is no second round of paperwork.
The Venue Beyond the Gaming Floor
There is more going on here than only tables and machines. Our à la carte restaurant is open every day from 7:00 AM through to 5:00 AM, which is an unusually long service window and very handy if you are arriving late at night or finishing up early in the morning. The dress code is Business Casual: smart but relaxed, nothing overly formal, and not completely casual either. If you like to have plans set in advance, you can reserve a table through OpenTable.
Alongside the restaurant, the sports bar runs as a late-night option. Bar and lounge service continues through the same hours, so you can move from a game to a drink or a snack without having to leave the building or change venue.
We sit inside the Leisure World complex on West Quay Road. In the same complex there is a cinema, extra restaurants and a nightclub. Because it is a mixed-use building, the surrounding area is usually active well into the night, with people coming and going for different activities.
| Facility | Details |
|---|---|
| Restaurant | A la carte, daily 7:00 AM - 5:00 AM, Business Casual |
| Sports Bar | Late-night operation, bar and lounge service |
| Parking | Free on-site car parking |
| Complex | Part of Leisure World - cinema, restaurants, nightclub nearby |
Free on-site car parking is available and confirmed by different visitor sources, so drivers generally find it straightforward. If you are using public transport, Southampton Central station is roughly a 10-minute walk from the venue. For cruise passengers, Southampton Cruise Terminal is about 20 minutes on foot, so if you are spending a few hours ashore, we are within reach without needing a long transfer.
